■How to Use a Bucket

A bucket may be used as an alternative if a lift bag is not available.

However, buckets do not have an exhaust valve, which means buoyancy cannot be controlled during ascent.

As the air inside the bucket expands while ascending, excessive buoyancy may cause an uncontrolled rapid ascent near the surface if the bucket provides more lift than the weight of the object.

Therefore, select a bucket size that allows the object to remain slightly negatively buoyant even when the bucket is filled with air.
