■Bowline Knot

The bowline knot is used to create a fixed loop at the end of a rope.
It is one of the most commonly used knots in diving, so practice until you can tie it confidently, even without looking.

Hold the working end of the rope in your right hand.

Lay the working end over the standing part of the rope.

Pinch the crossing point with your right thumb and forefinger.

Twist your right wrist inward to form a loop.

Pass the working end up through the loop.

Hold the working end firmly.

Pass the working end around the standing part from back to front.

Pass the working end back down through the loop.

Tighten the knot securely.
