After completing the Dive Professional Course and reaching the starting point of your instructor career, develop your skills in diving course instruction and safety management to become an Open Water Instructor.

As an Open Water Instructor, you will be qualified to train and certify divers up to the Master Scuba Diver level.

 

【Course Participation Requirements】

① Completion of the Dive Professional Course is required.

② After completing the Dive Professional Course, applicants must have logged at least 30 fun dive leadership experiences under the supervision of an instructor.

【Verify the Knowledge Required for an Instructor】

Once you meet the Instructor Course requirements, review the Instructor Manual to expand your knowledge of safe and effective diving instruction.

Once you have acquired the required knowledge, proceed to take the Final Check.

The Final Check consists of 60 questions.

You must answer all questions correctly to pass.

Please note that the Final Check certificate is valid for three months.

【Participation in Practical Training】

If you pass the above Final Checks, please apply for practical training at a Net Diver School member store before your pass certificate expires.

※ Please contact each Net Diver School member store directly for information regarding course fees.

If you pass the practical examination and have logged more than 100 dives, you will be certified as an Open Water Instructor.

After registering as an Open Water Instructor, you may teach Open Water Diver courses professionally upon enrolling in Instructor Liability Insurance. To maintain active status, annual qualification renewal and Instructor Liability Insurance are required.
