■ Descent
Deflate your BCD completely and begin your descent while exhaling slowly.
All descents when using a dry suit should be performed feet first.
Air may shift into the legs of the suit, making a head-first descent unsafe.
If you feel suit squeeze during descent, add small amounts of air to the dry suit to relieve pressure and maintain proper buoyancy control.

■ Ascent
During ascent, release expanding air from the dry suit using the exhaust valve.
Maintain a vertical position and raise your left shoulder so that the exhaust valve remains at the highest point.
This allows excess air to vent effectively and helps control your ascent rate.
