■Navigation tips
No matter how accurately you use the compass, you will not be able to do compass navigation without any errors.
There is a tide in the water, and the body may be flowing in a parallel direction even if the compass direction is maintained. |
Beware of tidal currents |
Also, due to the difference in left and right leg strength and the unevenness of the weights, you may move in the right or left direction without your knowledge.
Note the difference in left and right leg strength |
The only way to prevent such errors is to use natural navigation instead of just looking at the compass.
If visibility is good, aim for large objects such as characteristic rocks in the distance.
If the visibility is poor, swim up to the next target being a creature or rock a few meters away, and when you reach the target, swim up to the next creature or rock a few meters further.
Make the compass navigation as accurate as possible using natural navigation. |
Always decide the target |
