As soon as possible after diving, and before the saltwater dries, rinse the camera housing thoroughly in fresh water.
Soak the housing in fresh water for at least 20–30 minutes to dissolve salt deposits.
After removing it from the water, dry the housing completely with a towel before opening it.
This prevents water from entering the housing when it is opened.

Always inspect and clean the O-ring.
Carefully remove the O-ring without stretching or damaging it, and wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Clean the O-ring groove inside the housing to remove sand or debris.
Apply a very light, even coat of silicone grease to the O-ring, then reinstall it properly.
