■Visibility and shooting distance

The distance where you can take a photo depends on the visibility.
The visibility depends on the condition of the sea floor at the diving point (coral reef, rocky area, mud, sand).

You can shoot if the distance between the camera and the subject is half the visibility, but you can take clearer pictures as the distance between the camera and the subject is shorter.

Also, the distance between the camera and the subject depends on the kinds of a subject. it is usually within 1 m for underwater creatures subject and within 3 m for people .

Shoot within 1m

Even if the visibility is poor, you can still shoot if the distance to the subject is within 30 cm.

Like divers, Underwater cameras look 4/3 times as large and close.

Underwater camera is the same as a diver

Therefore, in the case of a camera that needs to be focused, setting the actually measured distance will result in an out-of-focus photograph.
