■Beach Entry
Place a compact camera housing securely in a BC pocket so both hands remain free during entry.
Attach the housing strap to your BC using a clip or carabiner to prevent accidental loss.
After descending and reaching the bottom, secure the housing strap around your wrist before beginning photography.

■Boat Entry
Although housings are designed to withstand water pressure, they can be damaged by sudden impact.
When making a giant stride or other high entry, ask a crew member to hand you the camera after you enter the water.

■Breathing
Many divers consume more air while concentrating on photography.
Avoid holding your breath and maintain slow, steady breathing at all times.
Stay relaxed and monitor your air supply regularly.
|
|
■Buoyancy Control
Poor buoyancy control can result in contact with coral or the seabed, causing environmental damage.
Maintain proper trim and neutral buoyancy before taking photographs.
Consider participating in a Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course to refine your buoyancy skills.

■Safety Management
Do not become so focused on photography that you neglect depth, time, or air supply monitoring.
Check your dive computer and remaining air pressure frequently.
