■ Removing the Diver onto a Boat or Dock |

Upon reaching the boat or dock, remove your weight system.
Next, remove both your BCD and the diver’s BCD to reduce excess weight.
Remove your fins before attempting to board.

For small boats, use a straight-arm lift technique.
Secure the diver’s wrists or forearms to the edge of the boat with one hand, climb aboard, then carefully lift the diver onto the boat.

For larger boats, remove the diver using a rope roll-up or rudder carry technique.

When using a rudder carry, raise your legs carefully to avoid dropping the diver. Maintain a secure grip while climbing the ladder.
