■ Post-Rescue Care

1. Once the diver is safely removed onto a boat or shore, call loudly for assistance from nearby divers or bystanders.

2. Instruct someone to contact emergency medical services immediately and prepare an AED if available.

3. If the diver is unconscious and not breathing normally, begin CPR immediately.

If the diver is breathing but remains unconscious, place the diver in the recovery position and continue to monitor breathing and circulation until emergency personnel arrive.
