■Entry to Surface Movement

Let's be mindful of other groups' exits.

The leader should enter before the participants.

Before allowing participants to enter, ensure that there are no dangerous areas or harmful marine life at the entry point underwater.

Even when assisting specific participants with their entry, the leader should always provide safety instructions and monitor the movements of other participants.

Let's have all participants ensure buoyancy control and use their regulators. While encouraging relaxation to avoid physical exertion and mental stress, we will proceed with surface movements to the descent point.

All participants will perform an entry from a shoreline where the water gradually deepens and is minimally affected by waves.

After walking into the water until it reaches waist depth, all participants will start swimming for surface movements.

Beginners may be distracted by the underwater environment during surface movements.
It is important to check the movements and status of all members (safety check).

■Safety check before descent

Upon reaching the descent point, let's ensure buoyancy control together as a group before descending, and check everyone's physical and mental condition.

Participants may be feeling tired or stressed from the surface movement. Let's make eye contact, engage in conversation, and check each other's breathing and fatigue levels.

Let's review the assembly point (target location) on the seafloor and the descent procedure.

Let's begin the descent after taking sufficient rest.

■Descent Procedure

The area around the sinker, which is securing the descent line to the seafloor, will serve as the assembly point.

To facilitate easy monitoring, communicate the assembly point on the seafloor and ensure that members do not become scattered underwater.

The leader should descend first and, upon reaching the assembly point, confirm the safety of the seafloor.

If the diver at the surface is waving their hands or kicking frantically, it may be a sign of panic.
Always observe the diver at the surface from the seafloor.

After ensuring the safety of the diver on the seafloor and at the surface, signal Buddy 1 at the surface to begin the descent.

Let's descend in the order of Buddy 1, Buddy 2, and then the assistant.

The member who is likely to need assistance during the descent should be placed directly behind the leader as Buddy 1. Maintain eye contact as necessary to check on their ears and mental state.

Prior to the dive, consider participants who may have concerns about equalizing ear pressure, and decide on the descent procedure accordingly.

The leader will monitor the movements of Buddy 1, who is along the descent rope, and Buddy 2, who is waiting around the surface float, within the limited visibility around the descent rope.

Once Buddy 1 arrives, make eye contact and check for any abnormalities or irregularities in breathing.

After ensuring Buddy 1's safety, signal Buddy 2 at the surface to begin the descent.

In the limited visibility around the descent rope, monitor the movements of Buddy 2, who is moving along the rope, and Buddy 1 on the seafloor.

If there is an assistant, the surface assistant will assist Buddy 2.

If there is no assistant, Buddy 2 will not be assisted.

If Buddy 2 is unable to descend, everyone should surface once and then change the formation (buddy pairing and descent order). After that, perform the descent procedure from the beginning.

Finally, the assistant descends.

If a surface float is not available, use the leader on the seabed as a gathering point and follow the same descent procedure as when using a surface float.

Use the leader on the seabed as a gathering point to prevent members from scattering underwater.

When the leader is holding the descent line, the leader cannot assist both buddy 1 and buddy 2, so the surface assistant will assist the members.

If there is no assistant, the leader cannot assist both buddy 1 and buddy 2, so the method of the leader holding the descent line is prohibited.

Let's wait for the exit.

Watch out for diadema setosums.

Watch your step.

Start moving towards the surface from waist depth.

Do not chase the fish.

Reconfirm safety at the surface.

Don't scatter around.

This area is not allowed.

Watch out for divers' feet.

Don't scatter around.

Prohibited if there is no assistant.
