Nitrox diving is not normal air diving.
If you are using the Nitrox to dive deeper than 19m, it is recommended that you undergo an oxygen tolerance test at your nearest medical center that has a recompression chamber before using the Nitrox.
The Oxygen Tolerance Test involves breathing pure oxygen for 30 minutes at a pressure of 1.8 atmospheres to see if you develop oxygen poisoning symptoms.
In the Nitrox diving course, diving training is conducted at a water depth less than 19 m where there is no danger of oxygen poisoning, so it is not necessary to take an oxygen tolerance test before participating in this training.
