Nitrox contains less nitrogen than air. Therefore, planning a Nitrox dive using an air dive table provides an additional safety margin compared to planning an air dive with air.
For Nitrox diving, you may use a converted air dive table based on special calculations, or dedicated dive tables for EAN32 and EAN36.
However, when using dedicated Nitrox tables that extend the no-decompression limit, the extended bottom time does not further reduce the risk of decompression sickness.
For conservative dive planning, use an air dive table when planning your Nitrox dives.
