1. Call for emergency medical assistance immediately. These venoms can be life-threatening.
2. Keep the injured person calm and still. Movement spreads venom faster through the body.
3. Apply a pressure immobilization bandage firmly over the bite area and along the entire limb (if possible).
4. Immobilize the limb with a splint and keep it below heart level.
5. Monitor breathing carefully. If breathing stops, begin rescue breathing and CPR if necessary until medical help arrives.
6. Do NOT cut the wound and do NOT attempt to suck out the venom.
