- Call for emergency medical assistance immediately. These venoms can be life-threatening.
- Keep the injured person calm and still. Movement spreads venom faster through the body.
- Apply a pressure immobilization bandage firmly over the bite area and along the entire limb (if possible).
- Immobilize the limb with a splint and keep it below heart level.
- Monitor breathing carefully. If breathing stops, begin rescue breathing and CPR if necessary until medical help arrives.
- Do NOT cut the wound and do NOT attempt to suck out the venom.
