Entry Preparation

■ Preparation for Entry

On small boats, space is limited and the deck may move. Sit down to gear up, and put on your scuba unit (tank/BCD) in a stable position.

Ready to move

Before entry, add a small amount of air to your BCD. This helps you establish positive buoyancy at the surface so you can deal calmly with any issues after entry.

Inflate BCD slightly
