■Entry

Before entering the water, confirm with the boat crew that the engine is in neutral and the propeller is completely stopped.
Never enter the water while the propeller is moving. Contact with a propeller can result in serious injury.

The boat’s movement is influenced by both wind and current. However, once divers are in the water, they are primarily affected by the current rather than the wind.

If entry timing is not coordinated, divers may quickly become separated at the surface. To prevent separation, all members of the group should enter the water simultaneously on the leader’s signal.

Divers at the surface are primarily affected by current rather than wind.
