Entry (2)

When donning your scuba unit at the surface, take your time and stay calm. Keep the hoses clear to prevent entanglement.

1

Hold your snorkel (if used) and add a small amount of air to the BCD so the scuba unit floats at the surface.
Do not overinflate—too much buoyancy can make the unit harder to put on.

Add a little air to BCD

2

Free the hoses from the BCD and hold the regulator/hoses so they do not twist or tangle.

3

Insert your right arm through the BCD strap. Support the lower part of the cylinder with your right hand.

Right arm through strap

4

Insert your left arm through the BCD strap.

5

Close the buckle/waist strap and secure the hoses in their retainers.

Fasten and secure hoses

6

Inflate the BCD as needed to establish comfortable positive buoyancy at the surface.
