■Descent

After confirming that all group members are ready at the surface, begin the descent together.

Fully deflate your BCD using the power inflator/deflate button or by raising the inflator hose to release air efficiently. Avoid slow or incomplete deflation, as differences in buoyancy may cause separation during descent.

Descend while maintaining close proximity to your buddy and following the team leader.

Current strength and direction may vary at different depths. If you remain at a different depth than the team leader — for example, due to difficulty equalizing — you may drift away from the group.
If assistance is needed, use an underwater signaling device to alert the team leader.

If the team leader is using a surface marker buoy with a line, descend along the line visually as a reference.
Use it as a guide without pulling or holding the rope.
Pulling on the line may affect the leader’s buoyancy and disrupt the descent.

The team leader will be positioned below along the line, so even if you are slightly shallower due to equalization, you can maintain orientation without losing contact with the group.

Stay calm and maintain a controlled descent.
