■Exit
After surfacing, stay clear of the boat’s propeller at all times — even if the engine is turned off.
Contact with a propeller can result in serious injury.
Use the current line or tag line to hold position while waiting for your turn to exit.
When using a tag line, never position yourself between the boat and the line. If the boat moves with the waves, you could become trapped and seriously injured.
When exiting via the ladder, remove your weights first and hand them to the boat crew.

Next, pass up your scuba unit, and finally remove and hand up your fins.

When holding the ladder, keep your fingers clear to avoid pinching them between the ladder and the hull.
Once back on board, move away from the exit area promptly so the next diver can board safely, and secure your equipment.
Placing weights against cylinders can help prevent tanks from rolling on deck.
Never remain beneath the ladder, as divers above you may lose their balance.
