Entry (4)

For entry, leave cameras and other accessories on the boat. After you enter and establish buoyancy, receive them from the crew.

To prevent injuries from falling objects, heavy items (for example, an underwater scooter) should be passed underwater using a gear line.

Receive equipment after entry

Even if the engine is off, stay well clear of the propeller area during entry—just in case.
Contact with a propeller can cause serious injury.

After entry, move away from the boat promptly to avoid being struck by the hull as it moves with the waves.
