The most important rule in drift diving is to stay close to your buddy and the group at all times.

Pay special attention during descent and ascent, as current direction and strength may differ between the surface and the bottom.

■Preparation for entry

In strong current conditions, it is important for the group to descend promptly and gather at the planned meeting point.

Before entry, completely deflate your BCD. Raise the inflator hose to its highest point and press the deflate button to release all air. This helps ensure a controlled and efficient descent immediately after entry.
